Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/08/2010

Number: 1

When I first noticed themonarchs the sun was just starting to go down and just the tree tops to the east of our house were still lit by the sun. At first I only notice 3-4 butterflies . A buestiful copper color when the sun was on the bottom of their wings. Then I started to see more and more of them flying in and around the trees close by, but up too high to see them anymore. At one point I was able to see up to 20 butterflies in the sky and they were spreading farther away from where I saw them originally (or had not noticed them there before)
