A group of 200 or so flew out of a patch of woods near the edge a hay field near my dad's farm at 9:30 in the morning (9/6) as the sun began to warm the air.

Editor's Note: We dated this roost sighting for Sept. 5, the night the roost formed. For consistency, we use the 'first night' date for all roosts even if they are not discovered until the following morning.)
