Monarch emerged from chrysallis under house siding lap this morning before 7AM.
Two more chrysallis are still green (formed 7-10 days ago). One is hanging under lip of 55-gallon water tank; other is on Christmas cactus leaf on front porch.
I have found 5 other empty chrysallis cases in last 3 weeks in garden and on house siding.
I grew tropical milkweed, but not enough (about 20 plants), and had to drive 2 miles away to find native milkweed on roadside when caterpillars were feeding. Will grow more, including native, next year!
