Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/09/2010

Number: 1

There were two females (probably the same two we've had) feeding at flowers and feeders very early (6:15 am). I have a feeling that this may be the day they leave. One of them sat on the fence for a while in between feedings, and she is most definitely pot-bellied. The other one is quite a bit more slender still; I think she is a juvie. Last evening my husband and I had a great time watching one of these hummers chasing titmice out of the vicinity of "her" feeder and favorite Rose of Sharon perch.
