The first Monarch of the year was seen laying eggs on the milkweed June 26. We had a lot of predation of eggs and caterpillars but were still able to have a successful breeding season. This was truly wonderful for us as we did not have any Monarchs for the last two years and our beautiful milkweed nursery was very lonely. We have not seen a Monarch since August 23.
