95 degrees in Baton Rouge, La. now. More hummer activity today. Still notice a male RT hummer. They are feeding more often at window feeders, and are more friendly. I can stand "nose to nose" at the window while they feed, awesome! I enjoy watching with my binoculars, and can observe a female perched on a limb, turning her head from side to side for a long time, and noticed her "tongue" in and out catching insects/flies. Until now, I did not realize the amount of insects available, just flitting around the trees. Last hummer sighting last year was Oct. 23 .... hope I have another month to enjoy my little darlings!
