There are 2, possibly three hummingbirds still here. The last male left either Sept 4 or 5th and 3 or 4 left yesterday. I could tell that some were almost ready to go because they were very plump. The chasing, however, continued. I know for sure that a new bird came in on Monday because it was not at all familiar with the feeders, etc. I have refreshed the almost empty feeders---I have 3 in front of the house and three in back. It has been quite cool at night but that has not bothered the birds.
