Six hummingbirds at a time still coming to the feeders and the hummingbird bush flowers and Salvia greggii on the east side of the house: there may be different birds on other sides of the house, but I can only watch one lot at a time. Tropical storm Hermine produced 11.60 inches of torrential rain in twenty four hours according to my rain gauge, but the hummingbirds were back as soon as the rain slowed to a drizzle.
Individual birds fly back and perch on the branches of the post oak trees after a feed or an aggressive encounter, before swooping down again.
