Surprised to find an egg on a small common milkweed plant near the edge of a mowed area. This milkweed plant was no more than 7 inches tall. I was collecting milkweed for caterpillars for a classroom.
Previous "Last eggs" found were 09/08/10 as I followed a female to some tender Common milkweed plants near a cattle field. She seemed to be "dumping eggs" as I found four eggs on three leaves.
