Have seen 2 of the regular girls during the day. Wondered if any would be around today, because it was nearly cool enough last night to require turning on the heat, so I was happy to see them today, and freshened the 3 feeders to make sure they could resort to those as the summer flowers are waning. This was our first summer in this home, though we'd hung feeders here last year and had started planting for them then. Their numbers increased this year, so we're hoping for more and more visitors each coming year, too. Planted cherry trees to tempt them to nest on the terrace, and will hang more nesting materials for them next year, too. But, will miss them when they go on vacation!
