Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/10/2010

Number: 1

I have returning Ruby throat Hummingbirds to our feeder every year. I also have A certain Siamese(with bell on) who has captured one this past week. Luckily I went out to our garage this evening and found this juvenile male...
Of course I picked him up. I could see he was still alive and fluffed up from the cold.
I took him inside, put him in a kleenex box with some crumpled up kleenex and set him at my desk under my lamp.
Twenty minutes later he was buzzing around in the box...also tried to feed him nectar with a small syringe. Took him to the patio door and he flew away.
This following week he sits perched on my window feeder guarding his "stock" I also had to get another feeder out for the two females and possibly one more male.
