At 11:00 AM this morning I counted 64 Monarchs in 10 minutes at Clearville Park on the north shore of Lake Erie. All butterflies were in flight moving south-west parallel to shore. Some were dropping down looking for nectar plants. It has been cool and windy here for the past few days. Temp was 62 F, partly sunny with a strong west wind. At 4 PM I counted 10 butterflies in the space of 10 minutes, all moving south west. Temp was 61 and cloudy. My observation time: I was watching for 20 minutes.
