Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/10/2010

Number: 1

We are still seeing too many hummingbirds to count. We have eight feeders out, and in those feeders so far this week we have put out 50 cups of nectar (sugar water). I still have Saturday to go to finish out the week. Last week we used 52 cups of nectar.
The birds are active at all times of the day, but are especially active in the early morning and in the evening until dark. On our eight feeders all the spots will be filled (6 spots) and birds are flying everywhere and trying to get in to feed. It is remarkable!
