This is the first year since I began tagging Monarchs for Monarch Watch that I have not tagged by this date. Last year my butterfly habitat was teeming with chrysalis and caterpillars, but no evidence of either. The hot, dry and windy weather in August dried up the milkweed planted for the Monarchs. My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
