To our surprise, hummingbirds are still visiting our feeders as of today, September 11th. We were away from Sept. 5th-10th and expected not to have hummingbirds here when we returned because last year's last sighting was September 5, 2009. We discovered empty feeders when we got up this morning, and quickly filled them just in case. Within ONE MINUTE, a juvenile arrived. A minute later, what could only have been a juvenile male appeared and chased the first one away. We're so happy to have them here just a little bit longer than we expected.
