Monarch PEAK Migration

WOW ! This morning was amazing. I was sitting outside in my back yard this morning as the butterflies slowly began to flutter past - at first just a few - then, looking up, directly across my driveway and STRAIGHT OVERHEAD - then by the dozens -- then seemingly by the hundreds ! We have a large Rose of Sharon bush in our yard still in bloom with plenty of flowers - many of the butterflies stopped on it for a while - it looked alive with moving hues of golden orange !! This went on for easily an hour or more this morning. What a beautiful sight ! My observation time: I was watching for 1 hours and 20 minutes, around 11:00 a.m. EDST on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
