Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2010

Number: 1

This past week the feeders have been drained daily with more hummers that I have ever seen. Most of the birds are female and spend a great deal of time feeding and fighting off other birds. I have not seen any males this week, but a few have of the birds that were feeding had a pink tinge on their throats. Maybe immature males. The birds to my surprise will eat out of my hands if I stand with the feeder where the food has been hung. It has been a joy and the highlight of my day. I wish more people could take time out and enjoy the nature God has given us all.
