Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2010

Number: 1

Every day lately I have seen one hummingbird, a female, I think (no red at its throat). It visits the phlox, salvia, and torenia in the garden. She nearly collided with me yesterday, then hovered above for a few seconds to see how soon I would be leaving. As soon as I went inside, she resumed feeding. She shows up several times a day, and perches in a nearby dogwood sometimes.
