Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2010

Number: 1

Afer 3 days of no sightings, a cold front on 9/9/10 brought the hummers back. Since then, very thirsty and entertaining juveniles/females have been consistently sipping from my feeders. Certain juveniles are exploring every feeder, flower and bright color in the yard, dancing in the air and aggressivly shooing away any other bird or bug. One even hovered about 12 inches away from my blue shirt while I was watering the garden, no doubt thinking I might be a giant nectar-filled flower. So great to still have them in the yard !
