Heavy migration through our yard today. I tagged 11 monarchs and nmissed as many. Many migrated through and didn't stop. Have never caught so many in my yard in one day - some years I haven't caught 11 in our yard! They were edgy - stopping only for a quick sip and heading out. Strong NW wind much of the day. My observation time: I was watching for _5__ hours and __30_ minutes.
