A VERY fat male ruby-throated hummingbird appeared at our feeder and took his time feeding. He could barely fly away! We've noticed increased and different activity over the weekend. We've had 4 or 5 males and females around all summer, but until this weekend, there were quite aggressive with each other and only one would feed at a time. But over the past several days, we'll see 2 or three on the feeder taking long drinks together without the usual aggression. I guess they have others things on the mind as they get the urge to migrate.
