11:30am CST and 5pm CST -- it was a picture perfect day here in sunny southwest minneapolis...! mid 70's, cornflower blue sky, not one cloud, and an every so light breeze...i'm so happy as the liatris is STILL holding out and both in the morning and late afternoon the count each time was a solid 25 monarchs...!! they must sense the weather is going to be good the next few days (sunny, mid-70's) as they are much more playful today than end of last week when the nights dipped down so cold...either that or they are rambunctious 'teenagers' with loads of energy...either way....everyone looks healthy...no tattered wings, all vibrant coloring....still don't know where they bed down at night...having fun...i've become the butterfly lady of the block! more tomorrow...pm My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and __5_ minutes.
