Saw 2 juveniles today zipping by near the feeder, another checked out the red seeds on the dogwood tree. I saw it from the 2nd floor window. The migration must be furious & I guess hummers are zeroing in on anything red. I don't think it's confusion, just a matter of why not examine anything red for possible food.

don't think I report this yet, but I saw a hummber check out the red swing in a neighbor's yard, also a hummer checked out the red plastic basketball hoop in another neighbor's yard.
