There is a Red clover field beside my house this year , they are still around but numbers have dropped off... about 50 was all i seen on Wednesday night about the same thursday and nothing friday night for the weather was bad.

September 13
Around 4:30pm yesterday I noticed butterflies every time I looked out my windows ,I went out side and to my amazement there was a couple of hundred flying and some resting in my soft maples out front. I managed to take a few pictures ..one thing I did notice is the butterflies seem small this year.
This is the first time they have been here in numbers like this as a rule we would see only a few but this year has been great.
As I sit here writing this , looking out my window...I see some coming back to the trees, looks like I might be able to get some more great pictures tonight.
We have lived here 13 years and this is the first year they have come .We are hoping that they return again next year its a beautiful thing to see. My observation time: I was watching for _3__ hours and _45__ minutes.
