My students and I are enjoying a "bountiful harvest" of rearing Monarchs and releasing them! I only hope my milkweed holds out long enough! We presently have over 40 chrysalises (sp?) in our rearing tank and I excitedly anticipate the thrill my students will feel when they emerge as adults. Contrary to what I saw with hummingbirds, the Monarchs came early to my backyard: June! I have had at least 3 "waves" of Monarch hatchlings this summer!
