Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/12/2010

Number: 200

Observed clusters of Monarchs in a tree at our son`s house just outside St. Thomas on Sunday evening. There must have been hundreds of them, and more were coming at dusk. They were not there the next night. They came to that tree two years ago in Sept, and we looked for them last year, but no show that we knew of. It was a Maple tree they were in.

Editor’s Note: We are estimating a minimum of 200 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “hundreds.”
