Although, I know they have to leave us for the winter, I feel sad today. Since the huge number of hummers we had feeding throughout the month of August simply disappeared on Saturday, September 4, we have had two females/juveniles feeding daily morning and night. Yesterday morning, Monday, September 13, they were at the feeders extremely early (it was still quite dark). I wondered then if that was going to be it. They didn't come to the feeders last night and have not seen a hummer since. We will definitely keep the feeders up for any stragglers and report any sightings. I am consoled knowing that because of Journey North as of February I will be able to watch their return again. Thank you!!
