Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/21/2010

Number: 1

During the weekend of August 21, 2010 a strange and abrupt decrease in hummingbirds occured. My feeder was previously a very active refueling stop, often having some standby while others got there fill. Up to 15 or more at a time, were utlletizing my modest run of the mill four flower feeder. For several months I had to fill it twice a day just to keep the natives from fighting.
But then on that weekend it all just stopped, down to a trickel now...3 or 4 a day. Wondering where they all went off to. I asked my friends at church and they said they had theres still and they are slightly NE of my home. Today is 9/14/10 and we are seeing small numbers still, my feeding schedual had not changed, kept up and keeping up with demand.
