Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/13/2010

Number: 200

Hundreds of monarchs were fluttering around our property Sept. 13, 2010 at about 7 pm. We have never noticed them here before in these numbers. They stayed on our trees overnight and most of the following day

September 15
There are just a few of them left on the trees this morning and some are fluttering around the yard. We live on Lake Erie and have lots of milkweeds on our beach as well as lots of flowers in our yard.

Editor’s Note: We are estimating a minimum of 200 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “hundreds.”
