Signs of Fall

Date: 09/14/2010

My wife and I are on vacation at the Hampton Inn on Jekyll Island, GA. I got up this morning and noticed the butterflies were everywhere. I went for a walk in the beach in the morning and they were above the dunes and trees close to the shoreline. We went cycling around noon and one flew into my face while biking. My room faces the ocean with the dunes hiding the surf. Butterflies were flying south above the dunes and trees and over the hotel. People everywhere were commenting on the amount of butterflies, taking pictures and videos. I've never seen that many butterflies in my life. They flew all day. There must have been thousands. My observation time: I was watching for _12__ hours and ___ minutes.
