Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/13/2010

Number: 1

(Monday Sept. 13,2010) My Husband attracted my attention to a Hummingbird flying around our yard, stopping at the Budelia Butterfly Bush to feed and also at our Hummingbird feeders that I had just put in fresh sugar water, and of course I cleaned them really good as I did every 2 days this summer with the HOT temps. we had this summer. Didn't want them to drink tainted solution. I worry about people not keeping them clean and full of FRESH necter. However, back to the siteing yesterday. This paticular bird was VERY plump and my husband thought something was wrong with it, and I was about to call a bird Rehab.center near here to explain the actions and apperance of the bird and it disappeared. I do hope it is healthy and doing fine.THE PLUMPNESS has me concerned, because I've not seen a Hummingbird that fat. Does anyone have any ideas what may have caused that apperance? Was he or she OK?
