Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/16/2010

Number: 1

Today had been cloudy and cool with temperatures in the 60's F. At 5pm the skies began to clear and the sun warmed the temperature to around 70 degrees F. That's when the Monarchs began to appear, most sailing serenely at tree top or above, enjoying the sunshine. There was no wind. In 105 minutes, I counted 135 Monarchs. I'm sure they have been held up by the recent storms and heavy rains. It was so wonderful to see the migration again! My observation time: I was watching for __1_ hours and _45__ minutes.
