One chrysalis hanging in my window is turning dark unevenly. It has been dark for several days now. I will be surprised if the monarch is alive.

The good news is that one monarch successfully emerged from its chrysalis around 4:00AM this morning. It is still drying its wings at 6:03 AM. The day is to be warm and sunny, so it should be able to begin its migration as the sunrises. Not sure of sex yet.
