Monarchs continued to be observed at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge. Mostly they nectaring on sunflowers in areas of the refuge. In 2 1/2 hours in the late morning, 515 monarchs were counted. The day was mostly clear with a wind of 5 to 10 miles an hour from the south southeast.
