Our summer visitors seem to have left and in their place we're now seeing (at least) a couple of migrating females at our feeders. They don't seem to be in a big hurry to continue their journey south. We watched one of them perched on a branch leisurely preening herself and then quietly taking in the scenery--maybe watching over the feeders for interlopers--including a downy woodpecker.
