It appears that our hummers have left us now. Saw my last pair on Wednesday, the 16. They were sipping from Morning Glories near the kitchen window. Haven't seen any since that day. It was been an odd season around here. I had none of the usual in your face characters and for the most part they showed little interest in feeders. It was a very productive flower year due to heat, humidity and frequent rains so I think they really didn't depend on my input. My daughter even took down her feeders in August. They have been very active, roosting on the clotheslines and zipping around the blue spruce catching bugs.
