From 6:03 to 6:18 pm I watched one female or juvenile hummingbird as it sat on my arbor. It preened, fluffed feathers, stretched, defecated, remained alert & observant all around itself. It flew off briefly to the east and quickly returned. It did not feed the entire time even though a trumpet creeper was on the arbor next to the one it was perched on, blossoms within 10 feet of it.
