Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/18/2010

Number: 1

We saw a one female yesterday and also one today. They are not staying long ....just something quick to eat and off they go. No hanging around for them. It's getting too cold. It is supposed to be in the 40's tonight. Be sure you PUSH IN your perches so they won't get hypothermia. Their little bodies need to be in motion whe drinking frrom cold feeders..otherwise they will get hypothermia and be incapacited for quite while until their body tmperatures warm up.This could lead them to become prey for animals looking for a meal.
