Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/18/2010

Number: 200

Many Monarchs flying above us late in the afternoon/early evening. We live rural and have lots of cedar trees & elm trees. They finally chose the elm trees to roost in. I went out early the next am before church....in my pajamas to take pictures. It was very chilly out & cloudy so it seemed they decided to sleep in. It was sooo fun and amazing to have them visit us in our backyard!

Editor's Note: This observer did not specify the number of monarchs present. We entered '200' in the number field based on observer’s “many monarchs in the elm trees.”
