As of today my Husband and I have released 319 Monarch Butterflies after collecting them from Milkweed in our Garden and around our neighbors farm fields. We take them in mostly to save them from the wasp and fly that lay their eggs on the caterpiller, which then uses the Monarch cat. as their host for food.We still have many in Chryslis stage, but they are winding down and need to get moving to Mexico. It's getting cold here in Pa. Oh yea and We have also released several Black and Yellow swallowtails which we found on our Fennel plants.Still have 3 of them in Chryslis stage.
