Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/20/2010

Number: 1

I observed a green winged jewel hovering at the planter boxes containing slightly fading impatience and petunias on my front porch. He looked very serious, busy, and a bit tired and sad. Perhaps he also did not want to see summer flowers go? I wished him a safe journey; said fly high and farewell; that I would miss him even though I knew he had to go; and to take care because many hearts were flying with him/her. I say this to all my beloved migrants: butterflies, song birds, and hummingbirds; and send prayers and blessings to them. I think it is important that they know that they are loved and cherished by so many. As highly intelligent creatures, I know they can sense when people care about them.
