I have 5 feeders up with fresh food. The hummers had been scarce since 9-14-10. While working at my desk, one female came to the Perky Pet feeder near the window. She quickly tried two of the flowers, then tried to feed from the top where the rubber hook is. She immediately left thinking there was no food. Hopefully she discovered one of the other 4 feeders. She obviously was a migrating bird, not familiar with these common feeders. I'm hopeful to have a couple of stragglers still.
