5pm CST; just when i thought my winged friends had left minnesota, i saw FIVE monarchs outside!!! I'm guessing they were some stragglers as they were sooo intense on feeding on the liatris -- they didn't even budge -- even when I got inches away from them! no tattered wings tho... fortunately its a warmer evening and i think there is to be a stretch of nice weather so hopefully they'll feed up and have safe travels south....! i'll report tomorrow...excited to see them again! pm My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and __5_ minutes.
