Saw three Monarchs on the back goldenrod hills this afternoon. Temperatures climbed into the 60s and we had good sun for most of the day. Wind out of the west, so our few butterflies were holding with their food, i think.
Released two hatched Monarchs, but the wings on one didn't develop fully.........tried to help him, but i'm afraid he won't be able to fly........seems like more than wings trouble is involved...
No caterpillars spotted today, but still have a stage 3 here inside, and another chrysalis formed today.
Won't be many more reports from here, this year........... My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
