The first of our Monarch caterpillars to emerge was released at about 7:30AM. She was placed on a large chrysanthemum bush in front of our house and settled in to wait until the outside temps rose. When checking for her later in the day, she had flown away.

My observation time: I was watching for 0 hours and 20 minutes.
