A friend of mine sent me the following report. They were on the shore of Lake Michigan where the St Joseph River flows into the lake.

I counted 37 monarchs in about 3 hours. The south wind was so powerful that some may have been blown back to be recounted. Also saw about 7 Buckeyes.
My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
