- Last butterfly of the season to emerge from Chrysalis this afternoon. Two yesterday and one the day before have been tagged and released. These butterflies are the third generation for 2010 at SSM. Todays butterfly will be tagged and then released tomorrow morning.
- I hope the weather will accomodate all of these butterflies on their journey south.


- I am curious to know how long after a monarch butterfly comes out of its chrysalis will it get the urge to migrate south??? Is it immediate when it is this late in the fall?
