In my community garden plot three monarch females were hanging around the milkweed nectaring. At least one male came and they all dashed off from time to time, then returned to nectar. At lest two eggs were laid. We have had many eggs, but few caterpillars. No assassin bugs are there, but wasps are around. Small spiders are removed to the zinnias, but still almost no caterpillars. No migrating butterflies. My observation time: I was watching for _2__ hours and _30__ minutes.
