Have only seen the Monarchs 1 by 1 coming over house tops around Pierce, NE - dropping down and then rising again over the next building. Some seem to have trouble getting back up before the next building. Last year we had lots of Monarchs roost for a couple of weeks 4 miles east of Wee Town but nothing yet. I do not know the trick to counting them?? Do they ever return to the same spot the next year? My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
