It looks like the hummers are gone in my area even though I see a lot are still being seen north of me. The last one I saw was on 09/10/10 and was a young pot bellied male. They have stayed longer in the past till last year when they left very early. I have feeders up so it isn't the lack of flowers due to the dry conditions. It also isn't my location as I am as far south as you can be in Maine and sightings are much later north of here. The weather here this week was very warm but last week we had a cold spell and it got down to the low 40s at night most nights. It is all a mystery.
